Outdoor Spaces and Buildings
Sheffield’s infrastructure and physical environment must allow for maximum independence, wellbeing and participation across the life course.
Accessible public buildings, green spaces to walk in such as parks, adequate provision of seating where people can take a break or stop to chat, and public toilets are all part of what makes a city easier for people to navigate and enjoy. Spending time outside in clean, safe spaces and natural settings has a huge impact on the health and well being of older people.
