Exciting Volunteer Opportunity

As we settle into the new year we're really excited to be launching our latest volunteer opportunity!

Are you aged 50 or over? Can you spare a couple of hours a week?

We’d love to welcome you to become part of our Age Better in Sheffield Programme which aims to tackle loneliness and isolation in older people in our City.

We’re looking for individuals aged 50 and over who would enjoy meeting and talking to the people taking part in our Age Better in Sheffield projects. The main aim is to help us understand how well the programme is working, and to make sure that we’re offering the best experience that we can for those enjoying the our projects.

If I take part, what will my role involve?

You’ll work in pairs with a fellow volunteer and together you will be listening to and recording peoples’ stories and feedback about the effectiveness and impact of Age Better’s projects. With this insight you’ll be helping to shape future services for older people from all of Sheffield’s communities.

Before you get stuck in with the role, you’ll receive training and you’ll also be supported throughout.

To find out more about this opportunity, you can read the advert and find out more about how to apply here. You can also get in touch with us for more information by emailing volunteering@syha.co.uk.
