Cycling competition

Between Monday 21st September and Friday 2nd October we are running two exciting competitions. To find out more about how to get involved read below:

Send us your cycling photos…

To win a £50 Halfords voucher (to be spent on cycling goodies) all you have to do is send us a photo of yourself on a bike! We’re accepting photos from people of all ages for this competition, as long as you live in Sheffield.

We will be sharing all the images on our social media pages and a panel of cycling enthusiast judges will pick their favourite one.

You can send your image to us via social media, or email:

Facebook: @agebettersheffield

Please include your name, and contact details when you share your image so we can get in touch once the competition has ended.

Please don’t send any images you’re not happy to be shared online – thanks!

Win a bike!

To win the £250 voucher (to be spent on a bike & accessories) you must live in Sheffield and be aged 50 or over, or nominating someone who is aged 50 or over. Please send us between 100-200 words about what a bike would mean to you, or the person you are nominating.

You can send your submission to us via social media, or email:

Twitter: @agebettersheff
Facebook: @agebettersheffield
Email: agebettersheff@syha.co.uk

Please include your name, and contact details when you share your submission so we can get in touch once the competition has ended.

A team of cycling enthusiasts will choose 1 person to receive the voucher.

Terms and conditions

The winner of the £250 voucher must go to someone who doesn’t currently own a bike (or whose bike is no longer usable for any reason). Both of the vouchers must be spent on cycling related equipment, and each voucher will have a separate winner.

As the winner of a voucher we’d also like to have a follow up chat with you about what you bought and how you’ve been using it. We’d like to share an image of you with the goodies you’ve bought and then share your story online to continue promoting cycling in our great city, and to encourage more people to give bikes a go.
